Okay, just shy of two weeks and we now have a functioning toilet. Things have been going a lot slower than expected, especially in the plumbing department, but now there is a new, wonderful, working toilet on the main floor of the house, freeing me from the seven, eight, or even nine trips I was making to the basement on a daily basis to accommodate a growing baby and a shrinking bladder. (Too personal? Sorry.)
The contractors (AKA Mom and Dad) have packed up and gone home for the long weekend. They're supposed to be back later next week to work on the tub and tiling, but I wouldn't blame them if they changed their names and moved.
