The Longest and Shortest Six Months of My Life

Almost exactly six months ago, (give or take 10 minutes), Harrison was born. One sleepless night, one seemingly endless wait for the anesthesiologist, and one Styrofoam cup of crushed ice, and there was our baby boy.

In the past six months Harry has learned to coo, babble, roll over, lift his head, reach, pinch, smack, laugh, blow bubbles, and squeal with delight. Kevin has learned to change diapers, make bottles, and assemble every baby product known to humankind. I have learned to breastfeed, swaddle, type one-handed, and be more patient than I thought I ever could. But who wouldn't have patience for a face like this?
