Good News/Bad News

Good news: I made peanut butter oatmeal cookies, and they're delicious.
Bad news: I have eaten three this morning. And our furnace died. . .

Good news: Our new furnace will be super efficient.
Bad news: Our new furnace will cost three months' of my income.

Good news: Half of the cost will come back to us in tax credits and energy rebates.
Bad news: The price just went up $700 because our air conditioner is leaky, and since it sits above the furnace, the leaky part will have to be replaced.

Good news: I didn't have to miss class for the furnace installation.
Bad news: I am home all day with Harry, we have no heat, and we can't watch Yellow Submarine because the VCR is in the basement (AKA furnace replacement central).

UPDATE: 5:00 PM

Bad news: It is 64F in my house.
Badder news: They are still working in the basement. That's right, "they," as in, three men. Still. Working. For the last nine hours.
